Welcome Group 3!!!!

Welcome to the Culture and Ideas Group 1 Blog!!!
It's important for all of us to know that this is a safe place to share knowledge and experiences together so there are a few ground rules that need to be put down before we start posting comments.
  1. This is a place where your opinions are heard. So it's important to hear other opinions just as much as other people hear yours.
  2. We don't learn anything by attacking someone personally or by calling people names on this blog. It's a  childish act and it makes you look really bad. Remember we can learn from each other.
  3. You will automatically fail this section worth 10% if you say anything offensive about someone's race, religion, sexual orientation or anything that I feel is demeaning or offensive to anyone else in the blog.    Respect your fellow participants.
  4. Username: Please register with a username that I can recognize because I will be giving marks for this blog. If your username is cherrysexylover92 I will not know who you are unless your real name is Cherry Sexy Lover :p

Ok that's it. We can start now. Stay tuned for a video that's coming out on the Blog soon. I hope you will enjoy learning from this blog as much as I know I will. If we work together as a collective we will find that our learning can definitely move beyond the classroom.

  1. I really appreciate that ANNIE LEONARD raised this awareness about this important issues on stuffs and how we consume them and also to MR KEITH who let us know about this video.

There were some things about this video that really struck my mind. it made me understand what we are doing to our planet and the fact that we need to put it to a stop. This involves the production processes, how these products are consumed, how they are disposed, and how it affects people. i concur with what Annie Leopard said. Humans consume and dispose stuffs not just because they are worn out but because human wants are insatiable and because of this, we as humans do not consider or care about how these stuffs are produced and the efforts man put into this processes.

Resources are not just wasted but people are also wasted. Think of the people who are out there working so hard just to get paid. Think about what they go through. we buy these stuffs out of our insatiable wants not just because they are worn out but just to satisfy our own needs, thinking we are the ones paying the prices but NO the price we pay is not on the price tag we see when buying these stuffs.
We consume a lot and dispose them so fast just to get a new product thereby forgetting that can run out of resources. And by doing all these, it shows no civilization. We even destroy the environment as well by causing pollution; we need to think of what people have gone through. Some pay by their loss of natural resources, some pay by endangering their health, their future and at the end we dispose them like nothing happened.

in order to stop all these we should control our level of consumption and try our best to use our resources well. as humans we can amend our ways by reducing the way we waste (zero waste), by making budgets, we need to be civilized and by so doing, we will be able to protect our society and the people’s rights and the people.
